About

La La La.  Taste has a great deal to do with the tongue.  This is a blog about food so if you have other ideas, scram.  I like food… We all eat it.  I remember as a child certain foods I didn’t like, but now I will eat. Also, like many  there are foods I have always loved and will always hate. We each have our own peculiarities in taste and how we ate while being raised.  My mom wanted all natural food as much as possible.  She made bread and butter and we drank raw milk- cow and goat, my dad had chickens and a garden. All in the city of Fort Worth, Texas. By the time I realized the things around me my family ate meat at least a few times a week thankfully and some chocolate.  I remember the Broccoli burritos we would eat on nights we needed a quick meal, and the broccoli spaghetti that was the alternate. The baked potatoes that were frequent with ranch or salsa and chunky all natural no sugar peanut butter on whole wheat bread not nearly as neutral as the current ones sold. Oatmeal and hot rice cereal.   Potato soup, tortilla soup, chili,or chicken and veggie during winter.  While soda was a rare item to be had as well as fast food. I remember trying to trade a veggie or something for a chicken nugget at school rarely succeeding.  Although I wondered and craved the normal “American Diet” I also found out when I did eat it that I didn’t really care for it after all. So I will eat about anything once. I like to try what I can and the easy way is through restaurants.  So here we are today, with an American trend. Let us explore the food of the world. Join me as I rate the places I eat at. I also might add a few recipes and cooking tips for at home to reproduce a few items at home.
